„Let Yourself Break! Let Yourself Go!“ The ending words of Searching for Home’s debut album summarize its essence perfectly. The collective featuring nine of Saxonies most talented jazz and fusion newcomers wants to break boarders between genres and musical structures that seem to be immutable in todays pop music. Far-reaching influences from Jazz or Funk to Gospel and Hip-Hop can be found in eight diverse tracks full of tension and creativity.

The young musicians don’t hide their affinity for groovy rhythms, effective vocals and melodies as well as improvised parts in which every instrumentalist gets to express himself with his very own sound. With „Let Yourself Break“ Searching for Home makes a statement for variety, surprises and dynamic in their music, but still with a strong melody that is going to stay in your head.
